Hello. My name is Marlena, and I love to cook. I learned this love in many different ways from my grandmas and great-grandmas. Some of my happiest memories take place at the tables of the four women who I have had the pleasure to call “grandma” or “Abuelita” in my life. The time and love I put into my own cooking is an effort to recreate those memories, as well as to create new memories for my loved ones.

This blog is a mix of journal entries, recipes, poems, recorded conversations…anything that feels right to capture the incredible women who made me the woman I am.
